Lyons, NE - The Center for Rural Affairs is hosting a community conversation and reception on Friday, March 18th at the home of Daryl and Annette Junck, 86649 571 Ave in Laurel, Nebraska. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. and Center staff and board members will be on hand for conversation and questions about the work of the Center for Rural Affairs. Most importantly, they hope to hear from local residents and exchange ideas about the opportunities and challenges on the horizon for Laurel, Cedar County and the surrounding region.
"At the Center, we believe that real solutions to the challenges our rural communities face will be found on our farms, ranches and rural mainstreets, not in Washington and Wall Street," commented John Crabtree of the Center for Rural Affairs.  "That is why we want to hear from rural folks in their communities.”

The Center encourages everyone to attend the reception to find out more about the Center for Rural Affairs, exchange ideas about revitalizing rural mainstreets and strengthening family farms and ranches.  "And have a little fun," added Crabtree.  Light refreshments and drinks will be provided.
