Hamilton, MT - The Center for Rural Affairs along with 18 other organizations will host nine health care reform town meetings on Monday, June 29, 2009, across the state of Montana.

Montana residents will have the opportunity to speak their mind on health care and hear from others dealing with a broken health care system. Participants will learn the latest health care reform proposals and their status.

Steph Larsen, policy organizer with the Center for Rural Affairs, said, "The debate over the future of our health care system is in full swing and Senator Max Baucus is at the center of that debate. Health care reform must address the unique needs of rural communities. In order for that to happen, rural people must speak up and let Sen. Baucus know what rural Montanans think."

Several communities across the state will be linked by teleconference bringing together ordinary Montanans to lend their voice to health care reform. The event will begin at 6:00 pm.
