Lyons, NE - Marketing expert Dave Buchholz of David & Associates will offer his expertise to area business owners at a marketing seminar on Monday February 9, 2009, in St Paul.
The seminar "How to Get Big Results from a Small Advertising Budget" sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs' Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP) Women's Business Center along with the St. Paul Development Corporation, will be held at the St. Paul Library's Community Room from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Dave Buchholz is president of David & Associates, a marketing communications firm headquartered in Hastings, Nebraska, which he founded in 1984 (a picture of Dave is available at: (http://files.cfra.org/Dave_Buchholz.jpg). David & Associates serves regional, national and international clients in agribusiness, health care, telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, tourism, economic development, professional services and retail. The firm has won several regional and national awards for its creative work.

"Many small business owners are very good at doing what they do, but they struggle with marketing and advertising," said Buchholz. "During this seminar, we provide down-to-earth, practical ideas that any business can use to better focus their marketing efforts. There will be plenty of time for questions and issues that are on the minds of participants."

Buchholz says that participants of the seminar will discover basic marketing principles that have a bottom-line impact on their business. They will learn how to create a distinct identity for their business; the most effective way to distribute their message; how to build value for what they do; how to connect with their customers; and how to build their business without wasting a lot of money. "This is a practical, real-world look at ways to improve the effectiveness of and return on your marketing and advertising investment," commented Buchholz.

"The Center for Rural Affairs has a passion for helping rural entrepreneurs succeed, and this program is just one of many that is directly targeted to providing the tools and tactics needed for business success," concluded Buchholz. "The Center is a great resource for people looking to start or grow a small business."

For further information or reserve a seat contact Mike Feeken, St Paul Development Corporation at 308-754-4661 or spdc@qwestoffice.net. Cost for this seminar is $10, which includes a meal.

"I encourage anyone who wants to target their business marketing to come to this presentation," commented Dena Beck, REAP Business Specialist.

This project is funded in part by a grant from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development administered by the Nebraska Rural Development Commission.
