Small business networking event set for Oct. 10 in Lyons

LYONS, NEBRASKA – Small business owners and managers, aspiring business owners, and community partners are invited to Coffee Tables for the Burt and Cuming counties area. The networking event is hosted by the Center for Rural Affairs, Burt County Economic Development Corporation, Cuming County Economic Development, West Point Chamber of Commerce, and Tekamah Chamber of Commerce.

Coffee Tables is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Petal Pushers, 227 Main St., in Lyons, Nebraska.

This month’s topic is on marketing, and will feature speaker Katie Gutzmann, of Freyday Freelance, in Pender.

“Katie will be talking about how to brand your name and she will be sharing marketing ideas and tips,” said Lori Schrader, loan specialist with the Center for Rural Affairs.

Coffee Tables is held monthly, with event hosted by businesses in Burt or Cuming counties.

“Coffee Tables offers an opportunity for those involved in small businesses to talk with others who may have the same experiences,” Schrader said. “You don’t have to be a client of the Center or even a business owner to attend.”
