Marketing workshop offered to small business owners in Wood River
Wood River, Neb. - Entrepreneurs are invited to learn about online marketing and social media tools during “LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter for Biz,” a free workshop organized by the Center for Rural Affairs’ Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP) Women’s Business Center in collaboration with the Wood River Vision 20/20 Business Association.
The workshop will be held Tuesday, Feb. 27, from 5 to 9 p.m., at the Wood River Community Center, 108 W. 10th St., in Wood River, Nebraska.
The main topic will be "Building an online presence for businesses using social media marketing." A presentation and discussion will focus on each social media platform – LinkedIn from 5 to 6 p.m.; Facebook from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m.; and Twitter from 8 to 9 p.m. Attendees have the option to sign up for one, two, or all three sessions.
“It’s important to know where your customers are most active; then you need to be comfortable reaching out to them via that platform," said Monica Braun, Women’s Business Center director. “These sessions will enhance business owners’ knowledge of the various social media sites.”
Diane Siefkes, owner of dkSolutions, and an online marketing consultant from Lincoln, Nebraska, will present the course. Siefkes specializes in demystifying social media and email marketing for small business owners.
To register, contact Sara Arnett at 308.583.2262 ext. 17, or email@example.com. A brisket sandwich meal will be available for $10, if requested with advanced registration by Feb. 19.
