O'Neill, Neb. - A two-part QuickBooks workshop will be offered for local entrepreneurs and business owners on Tuesday, June 13. This free workshop is sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs’ Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP) Women’s Business Center and Holt County Economic Development.

Basic QuickBooks training is set for 9 a.m. to noon, followed by Advanced QuickBooks training 1 to 4 p.m. Both sessions will be held at Holt County Economic Development, 429 S. Fourth St., in O’Neill.

“Accurate recordkeeping can be beneficial to the success of a small business owner’s business,” said Monica Braun, REAP Women’s Business Center director. “It can help professionals have needed information when tax time comes around. Recordkeeping can quickly identify past due accounts and help collect those accounts in a more timely manner. That helps cash flow and viability.”

Small business owners will learn how to create customer accounts, enter sales and income, write checks and track expenses, generate reports, as well as other bookkeeping features of the program itself.

“This really helped me with my operation,” wrote one past participant in their course evaluation. “The system needs to be set up right so the reports are accurate. This was also very useful for working with my banker.”

To register, contact Holt County Economic Development at info@growholt.com or 402.336.1504.
