Laurel to Host Entrepreneurship Camp

Lyons, Nebraska – The Center for Rural Affairs along with the Northeast Nebraska Resource Conservation & Development Council, and the UNL Extension is sponsoring the Rural Youth Connection Making’ Money entrepreneurship camp. The camp is for youths in grades 5th - 8th and will take place Thursday, May 31st, 2007, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Laurel Learning Center and Park.
Participants will learn what it takes to start a business, marketing tips and advice on making a project run smoothly. They will also have the opportunity to make friends and have fun.

"We need to give our youth more opportunities like this to expose them to the world of entrepreneurial business. They already have the mind, we just need to provide them with tools," stated Michael Holton with the Center for Rural Affairs.

Registration is limited to 20 participants and the deadline is May 15, therefore interested individuals should not delay in registering. To register, call (402) 582-4866.
