Hot Topics at Nebraska Grazing Conference

Mob grazing, or very high stock density, short-duration grazing, is one of the headline topics at this year’s Nebraska Grazing conference, with several farmers to share their experiences. This 10th annual conference will again be held at the Kearney Holiday Inn on August 10-11.

Workshops feature grazing practices and grazingland stewardship. Other sessions will include transferring a ranch operation to the next generation, grazing standing corn and alternative forages, grassfed beef finishing and marketing, grazing lands and wildlife, and livestock behavior.

This year, high school students can receive reduced registrations. Early registrations for everyone apply through August 1. To register, contact the UNL Center for Grassland Studies, www.grassland.unl.edu or 402.472.4101.
