Center Welcomes Lance

April 2010

This month Lance Evans joins the Center for Rural Affairs family as our Rural Outreach and Organizing Program intern.

Lance is a senior political science major at Wayne State College in Wayne, NE. A Nebraska native, Lance will be organizing around a variety of policy issues, including health reform and small business development. Lance enjoys watching Husker football and outdoor activities like hiking.

I graduated with my BA in Poly Sci and am also a big football fan. Lance sounds like a good guy, welcome aboard! Internships are where many people get their start and can offer a lot of great networking abilities. Sure, internships may not pay well and may leave you searching for some credit card relief but they open doors for a bright future.
