The beginning farmer and rancher provisions we are fighting to secure in the final farm bill would provide training, mentoring, and land-linking services to help link retiring and beginning farmers and ranchers, as well as a matched savings account program.

We are also looking to ensure that beginning farmers and ranchers gain access to conservation programs by setting aside 10 percent of the program funds for beginners to apply for each year. And the final bill should also include several improvements to the Farm Service Agency loans.
