Business Fair Reaches Bigger Community

The Fourth Annual Seward County Business Fair was held on June 16, 2011, in Seward, Nebraska. The REAP Women’s Business Center (WBC) collaborated once again with the Seward Area Chamber of Commerce, Seward County Economic Development (SCED), Southeast Nebraska Development District (SENDD) and University of Nebraska Extension to host the event.

Spotlight: Amigos Unidos, Inc

Ramiro Alvarez, owner of Amigos Unidos, Inc., is one of those people who inspire others. Because of his leadership in opening a business, other members of the community have begun thinking about starting a new business in South Sioux City.

REAP Award Recipients | 2010

This spring we were honored to hand out 4 awards to special people who were involved with REAP and made a tremendous difference in 2010. Awardees included: Connie Harvey, Norma Avalos, Edgar Gutierrez, and the College of Business & Technology at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.

2011 Nebraska MarketPlace Astounds

The 2011 Nebraska MarketPlace conference was once again a smashing success. “MarketPlace is tremendous. For the 5th consecutive year, more than 500 people attended Nebraska’s premier entrepreneurship event in Kearney,” said John Crabtree, with the Center for Rural Affairs.
