Silver Anniversary Recap and Look Ahead

As the Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP) heads into its 26th year of operation, we hope you have enjoyed reading our 25th Anniversary eNews publications! This represents the final edition of the special 12-month run in celebration of REAP’s silver anniversary.

The REAP 25th Anniversary eNews series was designed to:

  1. Bring you special stories from the past.
  2. Highlight a few of the many collaborative partners we work closely with.
  3. Give you a chance to learn more about REAP staff.
  4. Most importantly, show you a sampling of entrepreneurs who have received REAP services.

I’m proud to say I’ve been with the REAP program since 1994 and have personally witnessed the growth and continued evolution of the program. The first 25 years were an incredible journey.

REAP is known as one of the top producing rural small business programs in the nation. The next 25 years promises to build off past successes, lessons learned, and a passion to stay on the cutting edge in the microenterprise and small business development industry.

One thing you can be assured of. REAP is well known as a production driven program with a motivated staff who do whatever it takes to meet the goals of the program. REAP’s mission of strengthening rural communities through small, self-employed business development and REAP’s Vision to “Be the best rural microenterprise development program in the nation” remain in place and valid.

Buckle up, the next 25 years is going to be quite the ride!
