The latest awards for USDA’s Rural Microentrepreneur Assistance Program have been announced, adding
more organizations with loan capital and technical assistance funds to help rural small business

Our Rural Enterprise Assistance Project is no exception, reaching record numbers of startup and existing rural entrepreneurs last year.
Innovative legislation has been introduced to ensure wind energy is developed in ways that provide lasting benefits to rural people and communities. The bill was introduced in the Nebraska Legislature, and it can serve as a model for other states.
Nebraska has been a leader in supporting the development of small businesses, especially in rural communities where entrepreneurship creates the majority of jobs. State support served as a model for others and helped generate similar federal policy in the last farm bill.
