Have you heard? We're teaming up with Hear Nebraska. (Did you notice the pun there?) It's for The Good Living Tour.
This is a free, all-ages concert series from July 17-25 hosted in nine outdoor settings and traditional venues across Greater Nebraska. The Good Living Tour is also an accompanying community storytelling/marketing project aimed to reach a young, targeted audience through social and traditional media statewide and around the world.
A total of 27 Nebraska bands will perform family friendly sets over the nine-day tour. Each concert will be carefully curated by Hear Nebraska and feature three contemporary groups, representing a diverse mix of musical genres and styles — from indie rock to hip-hop to country to blues. A team of Hear Nebraska journalists will visit each community to produce feature stories highlighting cool, music and arts-related people and businesses, and viral marketing videos featuring young professionals and artists communicating, in their own words, what makes their community a distinctly attractive place to live, work and play.
The stories broadcast to a worldwide audience on HearNebraska.org, corresponding with each concert. The videos premiere before each concert headliner, and serve as compelling, online social devices for community stakeholders working to attract and retain young people for years to come.
Join other rural enthusiasts, and find some Center for Rural Affairs swag! The Center for Rural Affairs joins Humanities Nebraska and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment as fiscal sponsors of the project. Learn more about The Good Living Tour here.
