Community Outreach a Perfect Fit for Monica Braun

Monica Braun is the director of the Women’s Business Center (WBC) of the Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP) at the Center for Rural Affairs. This role is a perfect fit for her rich background in community outreach and deep roots in south central Nebraska.

She graduated from Superior High School and attended the University of Nebraska, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Consumer Science. She also received a graduate degree from UNL in Education and Family Resource Management with a minor in Ag Economics.

Monica was an Extension Agent with the University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension Service for 10 years, serving in Holt County and Douglas County. Additionally, she was a Training Specialist with the Nebraska Health and Human Services System for 5 years.

Currently, Monica leverages this background as the director of the Women’s Business Center. In this position she coordinates the training efforts for REAP with our regional business specialists and works with entrepreneurs, small business owners, and REAP association members to enhance their business management skills and access loan funds.

Monica lives in Seward, Nebraska. She serves as a member of the Stephen Ministry Team through her church. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
