REAP Hispanic Business Center Entrepreneur of the Year

Diana E. Vazquez is no stranger to hard work and is a prime example of a very determined entrepreneur. She has owned and operated Fascinación, in Lexington, Nebraska, for over 10 years. Her days begin early and end late because Fascinación is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Our small business development program, REAP, has assisted Diana with technical assistance and financing as the business continued to expand. A large selection of items can be found in the two-story retail store in historic downtown Lexington.

Diana offers an amazing array of products and services – household and grocery items, buying and selling gold jewelry, providing check cashing services and international money transfer services, and travel and airline tickets too! Attire for weddings, quinceañeras, first communions and baptisms can also be found at the store. And wedding packages!

It's Diana’s warm personality that keeps customers loyal to her business. This trait, combined with her dedication to the business keeps it thriving. At the end of the day, what puts a genuine smile on her face is a satisfied customer.

She credits REAP for helping her business succeed. “REAP helped me obtain the working capital I needed to expand my business inventory to gain a competitive edge,” Diana told us. Congratulations, Diana!
