REAP Women's Business Center Entrepreneur of the Year

Stacy Chingren identified the need for a contemporary bakery and café in North Platte and returned home from Omaha to fill that void. In 2009, Gracie Mae’s Bakery and Café opened its doors and offered the community a fresh new place to order baked goods, grab a latté and even order lunch!

Gracie Mae’s is a unique bakery and café where everything is prepared fresh daily, and the ambiance is welcoming to people of all ages.

Early on, the Center's small business development program, better known as REAP, provided financing to cover building expenses. As the business grew, REAP also provided credit for operating expenses along with technical assistance. Gracie Mae’s has been voted the #1 bakery and caterer three years in a row by the North Platte Telegraph Readers Choice Awards!
