The Top Ten Things I Have Learned Along The Way As A Professional Marketer/Entrepreneur Download Keynote handout

1 - Never enter a market without a preconceived exit.

2 - Never enter a market without a sustainable competitive advantage
Product, Price, Promotion, Place.

3 - Never enter a market without a preconceived objective.
Plan the Work. Work the Plan.

4 - Three key constituents will determine a business’ success: investors, employees, and customers. Seek to harmonize them. But never, never lose sight of the customer.

5 - Always seek to know more about your customers. He/she with the greatest customer insight wins.

6 - Always leverage time and timing as a most valued asset.

7 - Always do your best. Aspire to flawless implementation.

8 - Always figure out your mistakes, publicize them and celebrate them.

9 - Always manage risk aggressively.

10 - Foster candor and accountability. Never take things personally. Laugh a lot.

As we get caught up in the day-to-day activities of doing our job and building our businesses, it is easy to forget that we are leaders in our community and others are watching as a result. We can have a profound impact on what happens in our business or community and what the future of our community will be. How do we become leaders with purpose?

There are five different roles we could play on any given day that demonstrates leadership. The key is to perform those roles on purpose. Living and acting with purpose will make a difference in your business, community, family and your life.
