The Alert: On Wednesday, July 18th the House Agriculture Committee struck a major blow to family farms by voting to increase subsidies to mega-farms. Now Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) will bring an amendment to the House floor during debate on the Farm Bill that will reverse this move.

Your representative can cast a vote for family farms by voting FOR the Ryan amendment.

• Tell them that the Farm Bill being sent to the floor is not real reform
• Urge them to vote for the Ryan amendment that will reverse the payment limitation increase, close the loopholes, and limit farm subsidies to mega-farms.
• Tell them to support real reform that helps family farms by limiting farm subsidies that mega-farms use to drive their smaller neighbors out of business
