Food Truck Provides Perfect Showcase for this Entrepreneur

Food trucks are a fairly new way to dine in the Norfolk, Nebraska, area. Eight years ago, Arcadio Zepeda wanted to start his own restaurant. He had been working at Michael’s Cantina, a popular Norfolk restaurant, and knew how to make food that people would enjoy eating.

REAP Achieves Top 10 Position in National Lending

The Center for Rural Affairs’ small business development program, REAP, ranked #7 in the United States for the number of Small Business Administration Micro loans placed. REAP was #21 for the dollar value of Micro loans closed.

The ranking was done by the SBA’s Office of Economic Opportunity at the close of fiscal year 2015, just completed. Here's what Jeff Reynolds, REAP director, had to say about the accomplishment (heads-up, Jeff is a big sports fan!):

Our Farm to School program tries to make sure of that.

Farm to School is a national movement that encourages schools to serve locally grown food from partnering farmers. Our Farm to School effort has helped save over 140,000 children from these meals in 2015 alone.
